Shadows 04:43
I remember the gaslight on the cobblestone path skies were scorched and suspended in perpetual night I was following a shadow at the end of the road I was following a shadow I was following a ghost What has been will be again what has been done will be done again there’s nothing new under the sun nothing new under the sun I remember the alley at the back of your house We were spending our time playing cat and mouse We were chasing the shadows at the end of the road We were chasing the shadows casted on the wall What has been will be again what has been done will be done again there’s nothing new under the sun nothing new under the sun

I can't believe it's happening I thought that we were galloping I really thought that he would win I really thought that he would finish I think he collapsed You know he was queen's favorite He landed on his stomach Landed on his stomach Do the jump and fall That's alright because I've been losing for so long Please hold your cheer Hold on to your seat He landed on his stomach I've been losing for so long

Head First 02:46
Time is an embarrassing word When you hold on to the world So I throw it all away And I'm living for today Keeps me going every day keeps me going on I don't have time to die And that's why I'm alive It puts a smile on my face to know that there's more more than meets the eye No words can describe The heart of a child No one wants to learn the destruction of the heart Puts everyone in a single file There's more more than meets the eye No words can describe I don't have time to die It puts a smile on my face to know that there's more than meets the eye

3.5 years We are at the end of days Predict winning numbers 5-44 Or should I say: A quarter to six? I don't like being an early bird But I have to I do it for you Your efforts are fruitless That's not what you were meant for A prototype of Übermensch That's not what you were meant for Your money's no good here And change is on its way

Traversing 04:18
Lights are low on the neon church The air’s too thick and the ground is too shallow See that feather fall It starts its journey alone There’s a path for it to follow There’s a path for everyone Church bells ring from the hill And no one can see That the world is turning How will I get to heaven? Through an oculus rift on the day before the Armageddon All different kinds of ships are sailing through the open seas to where the ocean gets too cold Traversing from the west to the east And from the salvage to the beach delivering the withhold Walking all alone in the cold in a coastal path Just a shadow on the boardwalk while the sun’s going down Let the days roll out How did I even get here? it feels like yesterday When life was wasted anyway I got something in my pocket I really have believed that I could turn my luck around Church bells ring from the hill And no one can see That the world is turning How did we get to heaven? Through an oculus rift on the day of the Armageddon All different kinds of ships are sailing through the open seas to where the ocean gets too cold Traversing from the west to the east And from the salvage to the beach delivering the withhold

Good times summer in the city I got lost inside my head I’ll spend my summer in the city to find my flow again Even out the swings Regulate your breathing You can make much more than this Trust your gut feeling Lean times for imagination I can’t go on like this I’ll better be quite in the city Me and my merest dreams Don’t let your body fall Into the rabbit hole He has no self control and He need’s your compassion Lean times for imagination Sometimes when I’m alone I lie awake and think That life isn’t that terrible Even in my dreams Don’t forget where you come from You’ve come a long way to get where you are Never drop an anchor It’s never as it seems One day you’ll be back to sleep So don’t hurt anyone Don’t hurt even yourself Or other creatures Please don’t forget where you come from Please don't forget Don't you forget
7.
A New Hope 04:20
On the first day I saw The sun shining in the east As it rose from the sea Deep in the valley Lilies have banished the seeds He’s in a palace Overseeing In the land of my dream the sun shone through the leaves In this land of this marvellous dream I forgot not to drink from the stream This was paradise An endless springtime Stems will harden and become Something closer to a bone In the evening I saw a star fall from the sky There was nobody home Now all the creatures Have leapt on to the shore And all the peaches have grew thorns What a beautiful dream it was simply unforgettable It was spring, now it’s Fall Stems will harden and become Something closer to a bone
8.
Player Queen 03:21
My mother dandled me and sang, 'How young it is, how young!' And made a golden cradle That on a willow swung. 'He went away,' my mother sang, 'When I was brought to bed,' And all the while her needle pulled The gold and silver thread. She pulled the thread and bit the thread And made a golden gown, And wept because she had dreamt that I Was born to wear a crown.

about

"May Your Dreams Come True" is the latest album from the Athenian crooner Johnny Labelle, an introspective journey that delves into themes of isolation, uncertainty, and the gap between dreams and reality. Written in the midst of a tumultuous time, the songs reflect on the despair and questioning of the future that have become all too familiar in recent years, but also serve as a beacon of hope, a reminder that even in the darkest of times, there is always the possibility of a brighter future.

Co-produced with the multi-talented musician, producer and illustrator Fred Afraid, an old friend and musical companion, the album was completed with the help of Ilias Livieratos (Dury Dava, Wild Terrier Orchestra) on drums and Kaliopi Mitropoulou (Oi Va Voi, Pan Pan, Echo Tides) on violin. The album was recorded at Electric Highway Studios by Jon Vulgaris.

May Your Dreams Come True is out on LP and Digital Album in March 2023 via Inner Ear.

Ο Αθηναίος crooner Johnny Labelle επιστρέφει με το νέο album του, May Your Dreams Come True.

Το May Your Dreams Come True κυκλοφορεί σε LP και Digital Album τον Μάρτιο του 2023 από την Inner Ear.
